Why The Honest Kitchen?

The Honest Kitchen was born from a desire to provide pets with the same quality of food that humans enjoy. The founder of The Honest Kitchen, with a background in the conventional pet food industry, saw the stark difference between ‘feed grade’ pet food and human food. This inspired a mission to bridge that gap by crafting clean, trustworthy pet food that meets the quality and safety standards of healthy ‘people food.’

“Honest” was chosen to reflect a commitment to transparency and openness, standing in contrast to some of the questionable practices in the traditional pet food industry. “Kitchen” emphasizes a dedication to being authentically Human Grade, setting a new standard for quality, safety, and integrity in pet food.
